The Israeli Occupation Forces have purposely tightened their grip on Palestinian citizens' movement living in the isolated area between the Ibrahimi Mosque and the southern part of Al-Sahleh in the old town of Hebron.
Since the beginning of the holy month of Ramadan, The Israeli Occupation soldiers have taken military stifling measures against dozens of citizens working, passing to their homes or heading for prayer in the Ibrahimi Mosque, impeding their free movement.
Many citizens have reported to HRC Legal Unit that the restrictive measures on the citizen passage at the checkpoints increases in the evening hours. The Israeli soldiers deliberately delay the citizens, search them, check their ID cards and search their purchases.
The same actions are taken against worshippers at the Ibrahimi Mosque; soldiers often detain young men for some time to delay them or make them miss the prayer.
